The Activation Wizard is an anti-piracy measure intended to ensure that your copy of Y!TunnelPro has been legitimately purchased. The activation process is quick and simple and has been designed to protect your purchase and privacy.

The Activation Wizard works by verifying that the registration key you are using, which is required for installation and activation, is valid and has not been used on more computers than intended.

New Y!TunnelPro Customers:

If this is your first time installing Y!TunnelPro you will be asked to enter your registration key. If you do not have your registration key handy you can request that it be automatically emailed to you by visiting this page

Existing Y!TunnelPro Customers:

All previous versions of Y!TunnelPro require a valid registration key in order to be activated. If you are an existing customer you will not need to enter your registration key but you will be required to re-activate Y!TunnelPro.
The Activation Process
During the activation process Y!TunnelPro will download and install a License Certificate. This certificate allows you not only to use Y!TunnelPro and but provides access to updates and new versions when available.

The Activation Wizard will connect to the Y!TunnelPro Activation Server and will transmit your registration key and other information that is associated with your registration key. No personal information such as your address or telephone number is ever transmitted as this information was provided when you purchased Y!TunnelPro. All information is transmitted over an encrypted and secure connection and cannot be viewed by other users on the Internet. The information sent to our activation server also cannot be used to track your Internet usage or online activity. For more information concerning how we use this information please see our privacy policy here.
Secure Activation
Because the Activation Wizard uses an encrypted and secure method of communicating with the Activation Server users with older versions of Windows or older versions of Internet Explorer may receive a warning from Internet Explorer. The warning may look like the following.

This warning is usually caused if you have an older version of Internet Explorer that does not include a current list of Certificate Authority issuers. The certificate installed on our activation server is issued to us by GeoTrust. Even if you do not have an up to date list of Certificate Authorities all data is still encrypted and secure when transmitted to our activation servers.

If you receive a warning similar to the one shown above simply click "Yes" to proceed with the activation.
Disabled Registration Keys
Whenever we discover a registration key that is being distributed over the Internet it is disabled as soon as possible. This helps prevent future misuse of the registration key and prevents additional users from continuing to use pirated copies of Y!TunnelPro.

When a registration key is disabled a new key will usually not be issued. We believe that it is our customers responsibility to ensure that they keep their registration key safe. We strongly recommend that registration keys never be stored in email or in a file.
